Where can I find my details with the share registry?

Before you transfer shares out of the share registry and into CommSec, it’s important to check your details are correct, up to date, and match the details of your CommSec Share Trading Account.

What you'll need to find your details:
  • Your most recent statement from the share registry.
  • Your share registry login details
How to find your details:

Computershare and Link Market Services are commonly-used share registries in Australia. Use the guides below to find your details with one of these registries.

Computershare
  • Go to computershare.com/au
  • Click Login to Investor Centre, then Login
  • Log into Computershare with your User ID and password
  • Select Portfolio
  • Find the relevant shareholding, then select View details
  • Click Actions, then Account details from the pop-up menu
  • Here, you can view your registered name and address. These details must match your CommSec details before you can transfer these shares into CommSec
Link Market Services
  • Go to www.linkmarketservices.com.au
  • Click Investor Login
  • Click Login to your Portolio then enter your registered email and password
  • Select Holdings
  • Find the relevant shareholding, then select View details
  • You'll find your name displayed next to Registered holder and your address in the Communications section. These details must match your CommSec details before you can transfer these shares into CommSec

If your shares are held with another share registry, contact them for information on how to find your details.
