How do I transfer shares into my CommSec International Shares Account?
If you’ve got shares that trade in an overseas market with another broker, you can transfer them to your CommSec International Shares Account.

What you'll need to complete your transfer
- Confirm the details on your account held with the other broker or custodian match the details on your CommSec International Shares Account.
- Attach the most recent statement you received from your international broker or custodian.

Are your shares held with a U.S or Canadian broker?
You can transfer these shares into CommSec by completing the Position and Account Transfer In Form. To complete this form:
Are your shares held with an international broker or custodian outside the U.S or Canada?
Are your shares held with a U.S or Canadian Share Registry or a CommSec International Shares Account in another name?

- CommSec will verify your details and the details of your other broker or custodian.
- Once your transfer request has been processed, you'll be able to view these shares in your CommSec Portfolio under your International Shares Account.
- We will contact you via email if there is in issue with your transfer request.
